I think my favorite thing in the world to create are Christmas cards. I know it’s 90 degrees outside, but this is when I typically start making mine so I’ll be sure to have enough. These are a few of my favorites using stamp sets and Designer Series Papers from last year’s catalog that are Returning Favorites in this mini catalog! I was thrilled to see them, especially with the beautiful papers, too!
The first Returning Favorite that I want to share actually combines three from last year’s catalog! The stamp set is Perfectly Plaid with its coordinating Pine Tree Punch, combined with the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. This paper includes a variety of patterns in classic Christmas colors of Garden Green, Real Read and Very Vanilla.

Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set
Who says you can’t pair toile with plaid? I love the simplicity and versatility of Stampin Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set with these gorgeous Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (DSP)! It started with Garden Green cardstock cut to fit the front of an A2 size card, From there, I used two complimentary patterns from our DSP to layer over the Garden Green. To cover the seam between these, I used a small strip of Garden Green cardstock wrapped with ivory organdy ribbon. I then stamped the plaid tree from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and the sentiment from the same set on Very Vanilla and cut that with a Stitched Rectangle Die, followed by cutting another piece of Garden green using a slightly larger die from the same set. If you’d like to try creating your own cards, the Perfectly Plaid bundle is excellent for a beginning stamper.
Last year, the Perfectly Plaid stamp set was paired with a wonderful set of plaid papers, which you’ll see on my Pinterest board for this set. However, it’s quite versatile, especially when paired with the punch, which can be used on its own and traditional colors are not necessary.
