The Varied Vases stamp set immediately caught my eye when I first got my hands on the annual catalog last year. I absolutely loved the simplicity, yet there is so much you can do with it, especially when paired with the coordinating Vases Builder Punch. This set is especially appealing if you’re new to stamping or are ready to bump your stamping up to the next level with the addition of punched elements.

This first example demonstrates the possibilities of #simplestamping put into practice. I stamped the vases and flowers with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and colored them in lightly with colored pencils. The sentiment, from the same set, was also stamped with the same ink and hand trimmed into a banner. I popped the banner off the white base with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This next card takes goes to the next level. I first stamped the scalloped shelf using Versamark ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. The image was then embossed with white Stampin’ Embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink. I stamped each of the three vases in Lovely Lipstick, Rich Razzleberry and Blueberry Bushel and cut them out using the Vases Builder Punch. After temporarily positioning the vases, I stamped and embossed the stems and flowers using the same method as the shelf. Using Stampin’ Markers from the 2018 – 2020 In Color collection, I colored in the flowers.

For this third card, I embossed the base layer of Grapefruit Grove using the Basket Weave 3D embossing folder. The vase (which was cut out with the vases builder punch), sentiment and stems were all stamped in Call Me Clover ink. Each of the tulips were stamped in Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch and then punched out. Some were elevated from the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ribbon isn’t from SU, but adds a great extra texture to the front of the card.
