If you’ve taken a look at my last couple of posts, you can see I’ve been having fun playing with the Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn bundle from the July – December Mini Catalog!  I spent quite a bit of time Saturday and Sunday stamping, coloring and die cutting a bunch of these images and found myself with quite a few of these cute little acorns.  Could I create a wreath with them? Sure! 

I started by cutting a circle using two circle dies from the Layering Circles dies and adhering my die cut images to the circle outline.   With these traditional fall colors in the leaves, I decided I wanted to go a bit more on the masculine side with my card.  Granted, I would give this to anyone, but with a man in mind, I recruited my husband to help pick the color of cardstock I should use to be behind the wreath.  He chose Mossy Meadow, which I though made the leaves really pop!  After embossing the panel with the Quatrefoil Tin embossing folder, I adhered it to a panel of Crumb Cake.  The wreath itself was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

 Then came the sentiment.  I chose “Birthday Wishes” from the Sending Smiles stamp set.  I wanted to bring out a color from the leaves that would work nicely against the Mossy Meadow, so I chose Cajun Craze. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and cut the banner using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I completed the card with a new Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots and I was done.
